In order to improve the quality of life for Ohio families, we need an economy that is stable:

  • housing that is affordable

  • businesses that are profitable

  • innovative healthcare solutions

  • and thriving schools and communities.

That is the right direction for Ohio. Any agenda that moves us away from this is counterproductive and bad for Ohio’s future.

Family Values One of the most significant people in my life was my grandmother. My grandmother was a strong woman and the epitome of a leader. She was the eldest of 14 children, a mother, a wife of 47 years and a business woman. She helped my mother raise me and taught me the value of family and having good character. My grandmother taught me to:

● To stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves

● She told me to make education a priority and that hard work pays off.

I was a military kid. My mother served 30 years in the US Air Force. She was a soldier. She taught me what it meant to be a leader, to be honorable and to serve others. My mother taught me to:

● be generous and show compassion to those in need.

● To follow the law and respect those who enforce it

● Lead with love

Mother used to say, “don’t make excuses and take personal responsibility for your actions.

My grandmother taught me. To stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

My grandmother used to say. It’s more important to make things right, than to be right.

My mother taught me. To make education a priority. I was a military kid. My parents met in the military and served in the US Air Force. My mom retired from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant.

I learned what it takes to run a business. I am a third generation business owner who grew up in the family business. My grandparents started Stanton Group Homes in 1978, to provide residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a teenager and young adult, I worked in the family business and watched my grandparents work tirelessly to care for our residents, make payroll, be in compliance and keep the business afloat.

Faith is part of my life. I am a woman of faith. I love God and serving his people. My faith inspires me to have compassion for others and to do the work that I do. I am a Pastor’s wife and co-pastor of a church in Columbus called The Destiny Center.

Reagan Tokes. I’ve never been more heartbroken than the day that I heard the news that Reagan Tokes was murdered. When things like this happen we all do some soul searching to find out if there is anything we could have done differently. I know there are cracks in our Criminal Justice System. Unfortunately, Reagan Tokes fell through those cracks. Public safety is my top priority and I am standing here today to make sure that no one falls through those cracks again.

Hard Work Pays Off- I am a living testimony that hard work pays off. Whatever you put your mind to you can achieve. I know what it means to raise a child as a single mom, finish school, work full-time and run a business. I’ve learned to value small beginnings. In 2006, I started my business as a compassionate landlord in 1 house serving 15 people, and 16 years later, my non profit now has 15 houses across 5 cities and has served over 5000 people.

Pro life statement-Valuing life at its inception is the foundation of where all compassion begins. It would be hypocritical for me to advocate for marginalized people and not advocate for the unborn. They are vulnerable too.

Second amendment statement-I believe in our second amendment freedoms to bear arms and protect ourselves. I’ve seen the dangers through my work in prisons and heard the horror stories. Compassionate people hope for the best, yet wise people plan for the worst. We need to preserve our rights to protect our families from imminent danger.

Our District needs leaders who are responsive to the people, work hard, finding

Everybody makes mistakes. As a woman of faith, I believe that people can change if given a chance. I’ve experienced the miracle of what happens when people change. This is why I continue to do God's work of helping people move their life in the right direction.
